paying attention

Have you ever watched little kids running around? I am fascinated with how they glory in just being a little body. [I'm talking about human kids and goat kids; they're awfully similar in this regard.] They climb up things, just so they can jump off. Then rolling in the grass, or sand, or puddles. . . they just love being inside their own skin.

I like how God knew what he was doing in his Creation gambit. He knew how delightful we'd find it to live and move and hug and dance and kiss and fall, just being inside our bodies. Wheee!

I think children are half cement, half puffy clouds. As in, they are indestructible and soft and evasive all at once. Miraculously, whenever they take a fall, they land on the cement side...
